Joel is a Distinguished Engineer in the Storage and Big Data organization at HPE.
He joined HPE when BlueData, Inc. was acquired in 2018. At HPE/BlueData, Joel focuses on Kubernetes and other technologies for running AI/ML and big data analytics on a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Joel is also the primary contributor to the KubeDirector open source project.
Before joining BlueData, he had a long tour at VMware in the vCenter and vSphere teams, developing the management layer for vMotion, the vSphere Distributed Switch, and finally policy-based storage management and related vSphere features.
